Copies of too correspondence bettwteen Mr. Seddon and Mr. Deakin regarding the Chinese in the Transvaal, and the Transvaal and Imperial Governments' replies, have been tabled in the Federal House. It shows that Mr. Seddon wished to send a protest direct to the British •Government, but Mr. Deakin adhered to his opinion that it should be addressed to the Transvaal -authorities and this was done.
