WAITUNA NOTES.

A start was made some time ago to regrade the Waituna Hill, and now, after the recent rain, the road is in a very bad condition. Only this morning one of the coach horses was bogged, and a team of five horses was required to drag the empty coach up the hill. By the time the winter is here the road will be altogether impassable. ■ . There has been a good rain here and the grass is looking well, and there will be splendid feed for the winter. Dairying is looking up, too, the cows giving more milk than has recently been the case. Our local storekeeper,- Mr Ransom, has just returned from a trip to Sydney and is much better in health.
