Telegraph, Press Association Copyright Sydney, September 30. 'Eastern tiles give details of the volcanic eruptions in Torigima Island in the Bonin group, early in the present month. Huge volumes of smoke and sand were emitted from the centre of the Island, the shape of which has been entirely changed. There were one hundred and sixty residents on the Island. Their fate is unknown.
