Telegraph Press Asociafcion Copyright. Wellington, This Day. A sequel to the breach of promise case, Kichards v. Birch, was witnessed in the bankruptcy proceedings to-tlay. The only creditor was Miss Richards, whose claim consisted of the amount of judgment in her favour, £100 and costs, for breach of promise. Birch, who became bankrupt after the judgment of the court, was subjected to a severe cross-examination on behalf of Miss Richards.
