A CLUB SCANDAL AT HOME.
Telegraph. Press Association, Copyrigh. London, May 2. After lasting for several days and bringing out some remarkable revelations. Lord Suffield libel action against the newspaper Truth in connection with the article on a club, has been ssttled and all imputations withdrawn. Lord Jersey denied promising to use his influence to obtain titles for members of the club. At the instigation of Mr Cowen, the secretary of the club, the Queensland Agent-General, Mr Cock- \ burn, South Australian ex-Agent-General, and Lord Strathcona testified to the club's repute and bonu fules. A second action brought by Mr Cowen against Truth is proceeding.
