The Irish League is incensed at their nonpublication. India has instituted a Civil division order of merit for natives to be awarded for special acts of bravery. The British Baptists' Twenty Century £250,000 Fund has been raised. New York, May 2. The Chicago meat packers admit that the consumption of beef has declined 40 per cent since the agitation over the formation of the Trust. News has been received that the Italian authorities have released the Chicago officers, who will be punished aboard the warship.
