Auckland, May 2. , The Auokland Customs returns for ; April, compared with the corresponding period of last year, are as follows: — Net Customs duty was £47,267, compared with £44,575, last year; net beer duty £1661, against £1447 ; export of butter 1988 cwt, valued at £9688, compared with 974 cwt, valued at £4178 ; cheese export, 1149 cwt, valued at £2224, against 351 cwt, valued at £719; frozen beef exported, 2426 cwt, valued at £3004, against 3851 owt, valued at £4491 ; lamb, 5215 owt, valued at £8257, compared with 4003 cwt, valued at 6050 ; mutton, 560 cwt, valued at £654, against 1802 cwt, valued at £2161. The gold export was 14,8400z5, valued at £51,300, oompared with 16,9340z5, valued at £57,154 ; silver export, 51,6380z5, valued at £5,954, compared with 34,1140z5, valued at £3,602.
