SCHOOL EXCURSION.
Considering the lateness of the season, the school excursion to Brown's tea garden's at Aramoho was very well patronised, though the attendance was not so large as it might have been had the trip taken place earlier in the year. The weather was perfect, and an enjoyable time was spent at the gardens, where croquet, tennis, and shooting were indulged in, and refreshments were abundantly provided, every attention being paid to the children by Mr and Mrs Brown. Nearly all the teachers accompanied the children, and the young folk seemed thoroughly to enjoy themselves. A number of excursionists either walked or went on by 'bus from Aramoho to Wanganui, and failed to patronise the gardens, which is to be regretted, as extensive preparations had been made for them at the latter place. A marked feature of the excursion was the care exercised by the railway officials, and all the children were brought safely home without an accidentof any description.
