London Markets. Telegraph. i/ressf association, copyright London, April 18. Wheat. — Two Sydney cargoes sold at 29s and 29s 3d respectively. Hemp. — Steady. Fair Wellington April-May shipment, 34£. Mutton. — Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes (Canterbury), 3 13-15 d; Dunedin and Southland, 3£d ; North Island, 3£d. Lamb. — Prime Canterbury, sj|d; fair average unchanged. Beef. — N.Z. scarce, nominall fores, 4£d ; hinds, s£d. No Australian beef offering. These prices are the official quotations furnished by the Frozen Meat Trade Association. The basis of quotation is sales of lines of not less than a hundred carcases of mutton or lamb, or twentyfive quarters of beef. All quotations for mutton are for fair average quality. The quotation for New Zealand lamb does not include sales of small lambs or heaviest of inferior quality.
