ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
«• Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright Auckland, April 10. Shortly after 3 o'clock this afternoon, the dead bodies of two men were found floating off Freeman's Bay reclamation. They probably lost their lives during the night or early this morning, the supposition being that they were returning from a yacht anchored further out in a dingy, which capsized. The men were subsequently identified as Charles Sawyers and Alexander Moore, both drapers. It is presumed that the deceased, neither of whom could swim, capsized when pulling ashore in the dingy. Sawyers has two brothers in Taranaki. Dunedin April 10. The body of the man who evidently hanged himself in Mornington, has been identified as that of J. H. Forsyth. He had been working about the stations in the Lakes district, and had been accepted as a member of the Tenth Contingent. He was to have gone to Addington with the rest, but did not put in an appearance at the last moment. Marton, This Day. A Maori woman died suddenly at Taihape. Foul play is rumoured. A man named Canning suicided at Hunterville to-day.
