A Reuter despatch states that Italy has abrogated the decree issued on March Bth of this year regarding the arrival of steamers from Australian ports, excepting Queensland. The decree was issued owing to the existence of plague in Australia. Mr Pierpont Morgan donated £5000 to Guy's Hospital. The inquiry into the accident abaord the Royal Sovereign found that the breech screw had been swung to before the usual safety arrangements after a misfire had been completely applied. New York, November 15. A great shower of leonids was seen at Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
