I The Guard and Black Dust are again in work. Mr Douglas Gordon purchased the yearling full brother to Waiuku, named Gibraltar, at Auckland last week for SOOgs. The Wellington Cup is likely to furnish an interesting contest. The privileges in connection with the Foxton Racing Club's summer meeting were sold by auction last Saturday by Messrs Barham and Gray. The following prices were realised : — Gates, J. Hillary, -2100 ; lawn and saddling paddock, J. E. Wyeth, £76 ; No. 1 publican's booth, W. Darville, £29; No. 2 publican's booth, ArC. Stansell, £30; refreshment booth, Langley Bros., £13 10s ; cards, J. E. Wyeth, £43; horse enclosure, E, Coley, £8; total, £294 10s.
