The latter received a great reception at Hobart ani addressed large meetings. . He visits Queensland on the same mission this week. Tbe Indian troops sailed for Brisbane last night. They bad a cordial send off. Sir W. Lyne thanked them for their presence at the Commonwealth inauguration. The Imperial troops leave for Brisbane to day. The Hon Mr Barton, addressing the men, emphasised that without ink and without parchment a bond existed between all parts of the Empire. It was a compact which means that whenever any part of the Empire was attacked, every nerve and every sinew of the Empire would be strained to repel the attack. Over £1000 has been gathered in aid of the Empire gunners who were icjured in the gun accident. Melbourne, This Day.
