Currie, British Ambassador, has satisfactorily explained his presence at the recent reception which was presided over by the Duke of Norfolk. He explained to Venosta, the Italian Minister of Foreign' Affairs, that the Duke's remarks, on the occasion referred to, were purely of a personal nature and unsupported by tbe Government and people of England. The Foreign Minister expressed himself satisfied with the explanation.
