xelegraph. Press Association. Copyright London, March 1. The British have occupied Colesburg. The Boers are in full retreat northward. General Clements who occupied Colesberg, tnet with an enthusiastic reception from the Loyalist residents. The Boers are now in full retreat northwards. Leading rebels have been arrested. A quantity of ammunition was found in the town. The Boera at Jamestown lost 50 killed, 123 wounded and 300 missing. Many of the rebels have returned to their homes proclaiming their loyalty. Wellington, This Day. Telegrams from all parts of the colony state the news of the relief of Ladysmith was received with a great burst'of patriotic feelingHere the Mayor addressed a mass meeting, and an impromptu procession marched through the streets sheering. The Government Insurance and other offices were closed, and the children were dismissed from school. The Conciliation Board, which has been engaged hearing the wharf labor* ers dispute for the past few days, was a scene of excitement to day when the Ladysmitb news was announced. The members of the Board joined with employers and the Union Delegates in singing patriotic songs, and adjourned until to-morrow.
