It appears from what information we (N.Z. Dairyman) haye to hand that (he factories all over the colony are receiving heavy supplies of milk, and if the season is favourable the output of dairy produce this year will be large practically twenty-five per cent, over that of last year. This fact, coupled with the highly satisfactory prices for both butter and cheese purchased, should result in a booming year for New Zealand farmers. Yesterday wben a heavy shower of rain came on a number of ladies who were seeking the shelter of the stand, were obstructed by a number of louts who had stationed themselves on the steps of the gangway. We have to thank the directors of the Methodist, Ladies' College, Hawthorne, Victoria, for a pamphlet which contains photographs, and a description of that excellent institution. We are informed that the school does not exist merely for profit, the aim of its founders having been to create a teaching institution for girls which should develop both mind and body, bringing to education acientific methods and a religious inspiration. Rev. W. H. Fiichett, 8.A., is President of the college. Messrs Milson and Coles have their Christmas advertisment to-day on our 3rd page in which they draw the attention of the public to their stock of useful presents, cards, prize books, toys and dolls, especially the dressed dolls, which are really beautiful, and at the same time reasonable in price. Having purchased all of their Christmas shipments for cash and thus saved the discounts, cus'omers may rest assured they will find ' good value for their money " and be more than satisfied. The bazaar is well worthy of a visit and all that the firm asks is that the public will pay their establishment a visit before concluding their purchases elsewhere.
