An attempt was made to blow up with dynamite the resideuce of Dr Hewlet, a medical practitioner residing at Fitzroy, one of the suburbs of Melbourne. Not much damage was done by the explosion, Another outrage was attempted near South Yarra, where it was found that some person had placed a bar of iron on the railway line in order to wreck a possenger train.
