The Feilding football Club bave abandoned the trip to Masterton and Wei lington which it was proposed to take at the end of this week. A meeting of the protest committee of the M. li. U. will be held iv Palmerston on Friday evening next to decide the Alhambra-Sandon protest. The Uuion will meet the tbe same evening. A rep match will be played at Palmerston on Saturday between the Manawatu and Horowhenua Uuions. Canterbury defeated Southland on Saturday last by 4 points to nil.
