[ THE EGMONT FARMERS* UNION, LIMITED. The fortnightly sale of stock was held • in Glorer Road Yards, Hawera, on Wed- | nesday the 3rd inst., when there was a large master of cattle, mostly from 2 to 2| year steers. Bidding was very slow throughout, except for a few pens of choice fat stock, bat a fair amount of business was done at the hammer or immediately after tbe sale. Competition for sheep still continues keen and we placed all that were yarded. We quote : — Cattle— Fat bullocks, light weights, £4 15s to £5 5s ; £3 Is to £4 7s ; 2to 3 year steers £2 15s to £3 7s ; 18 to 20 months steers £2 to £2 10s ; weaners, I mixed sexes, 10s to 17s 6d ; dairy cows, £3 11s to £4 11s ; store cows, £2 5* to L 3 ss. Sheep— Ewes, 4-tooth to full mouth, 5s 4d ; 6 tooth to full mouth, 4s lid ; fat sheep mixed, 7s lid.
