Kiwitea County Tenders.
The following tenders were received to-day for work within the Eiwitea County by Crs W. J, Jacob (chairman) and G. Shannon and the Engineer : — For re forming, ditching trimming and metalling 38 chains, Kimbolton road and for the supply and delivery of 100 yards gravel. — Jacob Shapleski, £148 for 38 chains and 6s 4d per yard for 100 yds metal (accepted I ; E. T. Strawbridge, £161 for formation etc ; S. Macmillan £185 10s 3d and 4s 9d for metal; J. O'Connor, £193 for whole; J. McColl, £177 and 5s 6d for metal. Supply of 250 yards metal Kimbolton road. — Jacob Shapleski 4s 4d per yard (accepted) ; R. Lyon and Son 4s 3d (conditional tender) ; J. McColl 5s 4d. Supply of 200 yards metal Mcßeth's road.— Jacob Shapleski 3s 9d per yard (accepted ' ; R. Lyon and Son 4s 2d ; J. McColl 4s lid. Metalling 40 chains Peep -'o-Day road. — S. Macmillan £2 9s 9d per chain (accepted) ; R- Lyon and Son £188 ;F. L. Behrent, £3 ss ; J. O'Connor, £185 ; J. Shapleski £180; J. McColl £2 15s 6d. For completing contract 288 chains Kiwitea-Tapuae road — Robinson, Spence and Co, £132 6s (accepted); E. T. Strawbridge £150.
