_•> (Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. A motion was filed to remove the petition against Mr Buchanan's return from the list on the ground it was not lodged in time and security was not duly given as required by law. It is condended the Returning Officers declaration of the poll being dated December 11th though not published till the 12th the petition was a day late, also that in any case the 11th was the last day on which that officer could make a return, and, further, he had returned the writ on thebtb, '
