The Stock Market.

Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report on their Johnsonville sale:— The bullocks entered for the sale were all of good quality, but not so heavy as those sold ai the last sale. The bidding was brisk and prices improved somewhat. We had a larj?e entry of sheep, mainly local ones. They all sold at last sales rates. A number of lambs came forward. Anything fat we disposed ot at fair prices but tuany were only stores and sold accordingly. The pigs were well bred and suitable for they tnaiutained their values. Cattle —Bullocks £5 7s 6d to £6 ; cows £4 5s to £4 15s, equal to 13s the 1001 b , for bullock, and 11s for cow beef. Sheep — small wethers, 7s 8d to 7s 9d ; ewes, 6s to 6s lid ; fat lambs, 5s 3i to 6s 7d ; stores, 3s to 3s 9d. Pigs — Baconers, 80s to 42s ; pork, 18s to 22a ; others, 10s 6d to 16s. Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co. report : — There was a good number of lambs entered at Waverley. Bidding was rather slow and vendors' estimates were in excess of buyers' limits, however a fair business was done. The entry at St Hill Street yesterday was small. Bidding was more animated than of late and we quitted tbe whole of the entry at the auction at quotations. We quote : — Cattle. — At Waverley — Young mixed cattle, 27s 9d. At St Hill Street— Weaners, 10s ; milkers, £2 13s 6d. Sheep. — At Waverley Lambs, 3s 3d to 4s 3d. At St Hill Street— Forward wethers, 7s ; 4-tooth mixed sheep, 7s 9d ; forward ewes, 4s 6d ; wether hoggets, 6s ; fat ewes, 5s 6d ; fat wethers, 83 ; cull lambs, Is lid. Pigs — Baconers, 23s to 26s ; porkers, 13s to 19s 6d; small pigs, 3s to 4s 3d.
