(x'er Press Association). Sydnky, This Day. The steamer Titus brings news that Captain Gibbius, a well known Sydney trader, was murdered at the Rendova Solomon Group and his cutter looted aid burned. The natives came aboard to trade and while the Captain was below two seized him and a third decapitated him with a large knife. The Captain's boy was the only other person ' present and he was afraid to interfere. ' Mr Tozer, of Queensland, is at present in Syduey with a view to promoting combined action in checking the tick pe-t. He intends to urge the establish 3 ircufc of a Federal Stock [nstitute. He -t.ites the tick is now being successfully held in check in Queensland.
