The Political Campaign.

Mr W. A. L. Bailey was nomiuated for the Rangitikei 3eat by Messrs Peter Thomson aod Henry G. Bailey, while Mr F. Y. Letbbridge was nominated by Messrs John Wilson (of Makino) and J. E. Hicks. Tho number of names on the Rangitikei roll are 5065, Manawatu 3979, Palmerston 3984 (less 86 excised). (Per Press Association.) Hawera, Nov. 25. F. McGuire has been nominated for Hawera. This Day. W. Monkbouse, W. Symes, and J. G. Harkness are out for Egmont. B, C. Robbins and C. E. Major were nominated for Hawera. Auckland, Nov. 25. At a meeting of tbe Auckland Liberal Association, a ballot was taken for two candidates to run with Mr Rosser, the Labour candidate already chosen. Three candidates were nominated : — The Hon. T. Thompson, Messrs J. J. Holland and J. M. Shera. The two first named had a majority of votes, consequently the Liberal ticket will be Messrs Thompson, Holland and Rosser. Thames, Nov. 25. The Hon. Mr Cadman has now spoken at all tbe centres in the Ohinemuri electorate, though he may further make addresses at Paeroa and the Thames. Wellington, Nov. 26. Mr Coleman Phillips, who intended to contest the Wairarapa seat, on his return to Carterton to-day from inland handed in his nomination paper, but the Returning Officer declined to accept it, intimating that be had publicly announced that nominations closed on the 25th. Mr Phillips is not satisfied with this decision and is communicating with tbe Colouial Secretary on the subject. Mr F. H. Fraser, City candidate, addressed the electors to-night. He declared himself a Prohibitionist and said be would not sacrifice himself to any party, but would support liberal measures. He received a vote of thanks and confidence. This Day. Messrs Menteath and Atkinson have been nominated for Wellington. New Plymouth, Tbis Day. Messrs Smith, Brown and Bellnnger have been nominated for the Taranaki electorate.
