The Wool Market.

v I FIVE PER CENT ADVANCE. (Per Press Association.) London, Nov. 24. The wool sales opened brisk at 5 per cent, advance on the October rates. At the wool sales 11,700 bales were offered, comprising a good selection of merinos. i There was a very large attendance of \ buyers. The rise is general, except for short heavy wools from Queensland and South Australia. Tbere was keen competition among buyers from all centres, including Americans. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company Ltd., report under date London 24th Nov. as follows :— Wool— The sales opened at au average advance of aboub 5 per cent on last sales closing rates. Competition by both Home and Foreign buyers is fairl v active. Attendance of both Home and Foreign buyers is good. The total quantity available including wool held over from last series is 219,000 bales 22,000 bales of wbich have been forwarded to the manufacturing districts direct.
