(Per Press Association). I Napier, This Day. Speaking at Eaikora last night. Captain • Russell gave an absolute denial to the • Premier* statement that he advocated the introduction of Chinese. He quoted Hansard to proye he had voted for Sir I H. Atkinson's and Hutchison's Restricj tions Bill. Mr Seddon bad voted against the former and was absent from tbe House on the division on the Jatter. He , said it was untrue tbe opposition would r repeal the Lands For Settlement Act and 1 the Land and Income Tax if returned to • power.
