Assault on a Newspaper Man.

FPer Press Association. Auckland, Tbis Day. A fracas occurred on Satnrday evening in Queen street when G. H. Powley, a well-known shirt manufacturer, assaulted W. J. Geddis one of the proprietors of the Observer. Powley, deeming himself aggrieved at a paragraph which had appeared ip the Observer. JSe struck Geddis four blows about the shoulders.
