l Per Press Association) Sydney, April 18. One of the most remarkable dust storms on record passed over Broken Hill. For some hours it was impossible to see across the streets, aud it was as dark as night within the buildings. During the continuance of the gale beautiful varying changes iv colors of light;, filtering through the dust, occurred, and so awesome was the effect of the storm that many women wont into hysterics. Similar storms and effects Were experienced in several other inland towns. tjnmbers of houses wero unroofed, and considerable damago was done to properly and crops.
