Social at Birmingham.
| From Our Own Correspondent] A very enjoyable social was held in the Town Hall, Birmingham, last evening, when in addition to to the usual amusements provided at this class of entertainment the following programme was rendered in a manner highly creditable to the performers : — Organ solo, Miss Hitch; hynan, Sunday School children ; recitation, Miss Peddie; song, Miss Richardson ; song, Miss Laing ; hymn, Sunday School children ; song, Mrs Palmer ; organ solo, Miss Hitch ; and a hymn by several young ladies. Refreshments were provided during the evening. Votes of thanks were, on the wiotion of Mr Mc : Intyre, accorded to those ladies who so ably assisted and to Mrs R. Burne who kindly gaye the whole of the refreshments. It is intended to hold these socials monthly under tbe auspices of the Wesleyan Church.
