BISHOP MOHAN'S FUNEEAL. (Per Press Association") Dunedin, May 2S. Bishop Grimes arrived from Christchurch to-night, and will celebrate the requiem to-morrow on the occasion of Bishop Moran's funeral. Archbishop Redwood intends to speak concerning the deceased prelate. Wellington, May 28. The case of Walter Churton v. McGregor and Walker, all of Wanganui, occupied the Supreme Court to-day. The Chief Justice reserved judgment. Auckland, May 28. The Auckland Trades and Labor Council passed a resolution in favor of taking steps to publish a labor paper at Wellington, and also a vote of thanks to the Premier for deciding on the erection of the Auxiliary Asylum on the cooperative principle. It was decided to write to the Minister for Labor regarding the continued practice of some employers of deducting from the wages to pay the insurance. Messrs W. C. Fraser and W. Johnston have been appointed representatives on the Central Council of the Charitable Aid Board. At the meeting it was decided to aid a deputation that approached them on the question of the erection of a night shelter for outcasts. Christchuech, May 28. At a meeting of the Harper Memorial Committee to day, it was decided on the casting vote of the chairman, to postpone the decision as to the form the memorial should take till after the meeting of the Synod. A special meeting of the A. and P. Association instructed the committee to call for competitive designs for a combined grandstand and luncheon booths.
