Sir, — I enclose herewith copy of letters received from the Secretary to the Department of Agriculture, and from the Member for this electorate, and shall be obliged if you will insert them in your next issue. Sir, — I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your letter of 10th instant, addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Agriculture, conveying a resolution passed at a meeting held to hear a paper read by Mr.l. l>. Nathan on the frozen meat industry, and, in reply, I have to say that the matter will be submitted to the Minister on his return from the South. 1 have, etc., Jons D. UmuiK, Secretary. J. I". Sin, — Yours of the 10th iustaut came duly to hand, and, in reply thereto, I beg" to say that it will afford me great pleasure to interview the Hon. the Minister of Agriculture on the subject of taking steps to ascertain the best means by which better prices may be obtained for New Zealand meat in the foreign markets of the world. So soon as I have received his reply I will again communicate with you, and shall also in the meantime be pleased to render any personal assistance in my power.
