A Shopkeeper Fined.

o (Per Press Association.) Gisbobne, This Day. At the Magistrate's Court to-day Wm. Adair, shopkeeper, was convicted and fined 10s for failing to close on Saturday. The Magistrate held the opinion the resolution of the Borough Council on January 29bh appointing Saturday closing was valid, and that no power was given to alter the day until the following January. The case is to be taken to the Supreme Court.
