The Feilding Star. Oroua & Kiwitea Counties Gazette. Published Daily. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 1895. THE DAIRY INDUSTRY.

Although the butter produced at the Cheltenham Dairy Factory has established a record as being equal to the best made in the colony, yet it is necessary that not Only should the high standard be maintained, but the quality be still further improved. To that end the Directors have invited Mr Me- < Ewan, who is a recognised authority of large experience gained in Canada, to lecture in the Cheltenham schoolhouse on the subject of " The Care of Milk before it gets to the Factory." As the wives and daughters of the dairy farmers have probably far more to do with tills part of the business than their husbands and brothers, their presence at the lecture is particularly invited in order that they may reap the fullest advantage from the opportunity thus given them of obtaining much useful information from a practical man. The lecture will be given on Friday evening, when we hope to see a very large attendance of those engaged in an industry which has done so much to help in creating the material prosperity of the colony.
