Christchurch Wool Sale

(per press association.) CintiSTCHUROH, November 24. The first wool sale of the season commenced this afternoon and continued to-night. For strong lustrous wools and light sound merinos competition was exceptionally keen. There was a good attendance of buyers. Half-bred up to 9d, cross-bred to B£d and Merino 6sd. Generally speaking wools this year are less earthy than last year's clip, while some in staple and well grown are mostly heavy with grease, and in some instances show signs of shearing proceeded when sheep were wet.
