The match between tho Australians and the Middlesex Eleven began to dny. The Australians in the tirst innings mnde 147 runs. The first fire wickctH fell for 26 runs. Hearne's bowling wan almost unplayable, and he took three wickets for fire runs. Middlesex were all dismissed for 78 runs in their first innings.
