I I'EH UNITED PUESS ASSOCIATION. I Wellington, February 15. further unpleasantness occurred at the ' Anglican Synod this afternoon. Sir John i 'all moved to suspend Standing " Order 24, so that the business could be ■ taken after 10.30 o'clock in the evening. The question was put and the Synodsmen guve their voices in favour of if, but the Primal o said be could not agree to , the proposal, and as the consent of all the members present had to be obtained ' before it could be passed, he therefore ' dechiro.l it lost. After this announce nwnt Sir John Hall put his papers in the drsW, tood up his hat, and without a word w.-ilked out of the Chamber, being folluwed by seyeral other clerical and la}' representatives. A few minutes afterwards the Bishop cf Auckland maved for the suspension of the sumo -Standing Order, pointing out that it would be next to impo.-sible to get through all the business on the Order Paper unless the Sjnod sat later than 10,30 o'clock 10-niglit, and it was doubt* ful whether there would be a quorum present to morrow. The Bishop of Christchurch seconded the motion. But the Primate peremptorily ruled it out of order as it had already been disposed of, and called on the nest' business on the Order Paper. Later. Sir John Hall was present in his usual place in the Chamber when the Synod resumed at 7.30 p.m. The other representatives who left with him returned during the latter part af the afternoon sitting.
