He was got by that great Is Z. performer " Dainty Ariel," out of " Fanuy Fisher," and is therefore grandson to that good old horse " Riddlesworth," winner of the 2,000 Guineas and other English races, and one of the stoutest horses ever im** , ported to the Colony ; also grandson to ! the great " Fisherman" (sire of "Angler," | " Fishhook, " " MaribyrnoDg, " " Lady Heron," " Sylvia," &c. About " Hippocampus" it is needless to say much, as he is so well known, not only as a Racehorse, but also as a Sire and a great Prize-taker. In 1880 " Hippocampus" secured first prize for Thor» oughbreds at Cambridge. In 1882, first prize for Thoroughbreds and Champion Prize against all comers at Whanganu..
