[PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Auckland, January 25. At the Supreme Court to«dny, in the case of James Howell v. Fehx Monaghan. a claim for the seduction of plaintiff's daughter, £'300 damages were awarded. Timaru. January 26. The Salvationists caused a disturbance here last evening. The captain and band paraded the town and harangued the crewd in front of three hotels, and some persons inside responded by beating din» ncr gongs, sounding fog horns, and ringing large bells. These sounds, together with the cries of the mob, the music of the band, &c„ caused a tearful din. The captain refused to move on, and held the ground at pleasure. An information will be laid against bim. Dunbdin. January 26. A report is current that some other persons besides those already recovered from Sunday's fire, are missing. Men are still working at the rums with a view to recover any bodies.
