South Canterbury J.C. Steeplechase
[PEB UNITED PEKSS ABBOCIATION] Timabu, This Day. The South Canterbury Jockey Club's steeplechase meeting was held yesterday. The weather was rather unfavourable, but the racing wa* first class, big fields turning out for all but one event. There was a fair attendance. The following are the results: — Hurdle Race, of two miles. — Mustard 1, Ormidale 2, Milo 3. South Canterbury Steeplechase, 100 soys. — The Lad 1, Barbary 2, , The Agent 3. Magic also ran, and Mustard was scratched. This was a grand race. The Lad winning hy a length. Hunt Club Cup. — Rona 1, Woodstock 2. Handicap Steeplechase. '-The Lad 1, Mustard 2, Moody 3.
