If such were done it would be a great convenience to a large number of electors throughout the colony. An address, very memerously signed, has been presented by the townspeople to Mr C. H. Maclean, who is about leaving the Rangitikei for the other I sland, where it is very probable he will obtain the incumbency of a large church. During his residence in the Rangitikei i he has always been to the fore in everything that would tend to advance the welfare of the district, and his commanding presence will long be remembered by a ! large circle of friends. The last Anglican entertainment having . proved so great a success it is proposed to get up another about the end of this month.
