Folding Borough Council

An ordinary meeting of the Council was held on Thursday evening Present „ — Crs Worsfold, Goodbehere, Kuther- " ford, Loudon, Fowles, Carthew, Higgin, and Thompson. - In the absence of the Mayor Or Goodbeliere, was elected Chairman. The minutes of the previous ordinary meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was read from Mr W. Ham* mond re his rates. The monthly report of the Finance* Committee, including the passing of jws^ counts amounting to £112 14s 4d, was _•• adopted. '"-"•* The mon ibly report of the Poundkeeper ' was read- The number of animals unpounded during the month had been 45, the total amount received £3 8s 9d, and the amount due lo the Council £2 2s 9d. Cr Higgin called attention to the fact that private individuals had been carting '• earth away from the sidesof the roads.
