'A requisition is bein^ signed to Mr Charlei Lightband asking him to stand for Stanmore. . Mr Wilfred Badger addressed the Btaantore electors last Might and received a vote of thanks. It is stated on good authority that Sir George Grey has telegraphed •to the president of the Working Men's Political Association, thanking them for the invitation to contest Chnstchnreh North, but declining to forsake Auckland East. The Gazette, insued yesterday contains a proclamation dissolving Parliament, and t ie appointment of polling places. Dunbdin, This Day. Mr Wather addressed a large meeting at Mosgiel last night. He was a strong Oppositionist and followed Yogel. He receirod a vote of thanks.
