Wellington. March 1. George Thomas report*: — Oats still remnin at 2s Od to 2» 7d, but this qnotation is simply for this week's sales, as they must lower, and that very shortly. Oatmeal, scarce, £13 ; flour £11 to £11 108; pollard, £5; brnn, £4; whent (fowl's) 3s to 3s 3d ; barley, 2k 9d ; maize, K9d; potatoes, plentiful supply, at £3 10s; ouions do do. £7 to £8; chaff, €4 10s. Butter, xalt, very little in the market ; country holders ask lOd, but nt present 8d is the higest price given ; the i market is decided'v hardening. Cheese, a drug, 4d to sd. A I a rye quantity of fruit has been placed at exceptionally low prices, cooking apples selling from 2s 6d per case.
