STOCK SALE.

Messrs Stevens and Gorton held a sale of stock at their Feilding j'ards thia afternoon, which was conducted by Mr Sherwill on their behalf. The attendance was very fair, out the bidding anything but brisk. The following prices were realised: —Milch cows, 37s 6d to 70s ; | store bullocks, 90s; 3-yesar-old heifers with calves, 82s 6d to £5 125,6 d; calves, 255. A few lo.s were passed in, as were also the only two lots of sheep offered, consisting of fat wethers and ewes in lamb. A number of hack and trap horses were put up, but none sold, the auctioneer remarking at the close of the sale that the reserves on liorses were always too high.
