The Australians continued .their 'second- innings, -Murdoch; the not out man of the previous day, being joined i sby Hopan at tbe-jwickets. The Australians were unable to save a pue ,uin^iiag« defeat, .their score only reaching 138, or 35" less than the required number. The Players thus won the match by an innings with 34 runs to spare.
