AUCKLAND.
July 13. The Herald objects to the colony being at the expense of repairing Governor Hobsons' tomb in the Auckland Cemetery and points out that his 'widow owns £20,000 worth of property here. The seamen of H.MS. Nelson have repaired the grates of Commodore Burnett, of the Orpheus, and midshipmen Watkins, killed at the storming of Bangiriri. Winiata's father having threatened vengeance on Europeans, Tawhiao has taken him into custody to pirevent mischief. The body of the man who fell off the Rangiriri bridge bas been recovered. It is supposed to be that of a tramp about 65 years of age. Winiata's case was on all day, but will not be finished.
