BURIAL OF MR BOWLER.
The funeral of Benjamin Bowler, who died on Saturday last at his father's residence, Feilding. took place yesterday. Deceased was the second son of William Bowler, of Feilding, aged about 20 years, and was a highly respectable and hardworking young man. The illness which ended iu his death was cf but short duration, the first symptoais appearing but a week before. He was a member of the order of Foresters, and his remains were accompanied to the*r last resting place by the members of his Lodge, of whom there were thirty present. The cortege comprised four carriages, containing relatives and friends, thirty-one horsemen, and a number of gentlemen on foot. Among tbein we recognised many old settlers, who had come to pay a last tribute of respect to the deceased and his family whose bereavement is deeply sympathised with, ihe funeral was the most numerously-attended one we have yet seen in Feilding, and is a marked evidence of the esteem in winch the family is held.
