Juno 23. • The death is announced of Mrs Mary Jones, relict of Thomas Jones, brother of the late John Jones, so well-known iv the early days of Otago as the principal merchant, ship owner, &o. Mrs Jones was the first white woman in Otago, having settled there in 1840.
