UNVEILED AT HUPJUA \N JAIPREPPIYE GEREAR iNY T’lk* unveiling of a roll of honour lo the hoys who have goim overseas from the Itunua and Paparimu districts took place at Hie Ilunua hall on Wednesday, December 15. 'flic scroll contains Ihe names of if) hoys, five of whom have made Ihe supreme sacrifice. Mrs Nairn, whose son Roy was one of llic first lo volunteer for active service overseas, and Ihe first hoy from In district to give iiis life, unveiled flic memoriu I. 'l’lie speakers of the evening were Hie Rev. R. Geddis and the Rev. R. A. C. Maddoek. 'flic chair was taken by Mr James Malheson. During the evening two solos were rendered by Mrs Derrick. There was an attendance of about Did. including quite a few visitors.
The roll of honour was made possible by donations from local residents.
