FERTILISER ALLOCATION

PRODUCTION COUNCIL OPINION A suggested scheme for the rationing of fertiliser to farmers on the basis of land classification was put before the Auckland District Council of Primary Production on Monday by the Whakatane District Council of Primary Production. Mr R. G. Clark, chairman of the Auckland Council, pointed out that the council’s existing scheme of making the allocation on the basis cNf the normal fertiliser purchases of the individual farmers, with provision for a reasonable pool to meet emergencies, had not met with any strong disagreement.
